Tasting Room Supervisor (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Sinocan Estate Winery is the most beautiful winery in Fraser Valley. We welcome visitors to share our passion for BC wines.

We are looking for energetic, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team. Our Retail Supervisor doesn't need to have a background in wine, but must have a passion for wine, a positive attitude, and enjoy leading teams. This position requires someone who is responsible and able to supervise the team and provide strategies on improving guest' experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

· Providing an exemplary tasting room guest experience including hosting wine tastings, sharing knowledge regarding our story, philosophy, award-winning wines and vineyards.

· Represent Winery in a professional, courteous and friendly manner to develop and solidify customer relationships

· Perform all aspects of tasting room operations, including accurate operation of cash register and point of sale system, inventory management, stocking, and winery cleaning

· Strategizing and promoting in-person and online sales.

· Training new hires, creating a positive work environment, staff scheduling

· Supervising day to day activities and reporting any issues to management

· Providing excellent tasting and tours, overseeing event experiences at the winery

· Excellent knowledge of all products and promotions at Winery Opening and closing the winery as required

· Other assigned duties

Job Requirements

· Two years of customer service and sales experience

· At least 2 years of supervising/management experience

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Desire or experience in learning about the wine industry

· Fluency in English, second language an asset

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, and routinely lift up to 30 pounds

· Dependable and punctual

· Confident and motivated
