Pricing Analyst

Accountabilities

Accountability Statement:
Responsible for leading day to day excellence in national pricing execution and analytics. Working cross functionally with various business partners to continually improve communications, accuracy and visibility of pricing and
related processes. Pricing team lead in ongoing national and global pricing projects and initiatives. Supports the business with revenue and profitability related analytics.

Key Contributions

  • Ownership of national pricing models, Model building and maintenance as required to ensure alignment to Provincial Liquor Distribution Board (LDBs) price calculations. File management including protection, sharing and version tracking
  • Maintaining compliance with LDBs price setting and submission regulations and requirements
  • Supporting revenue management team in day to day execution, planning and work sharing to provide fast, flexible service to the business while meeting critical LDB submission deadlines
  • Primary lead for troubleshooting data load and other issues across business systems with a focus on business impacts, root cause and sustainable resolutions.
  • Pricing team lead for National and Global pricing projects and initiatives as required.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities for continuous improvements in pricing accuracy and execution, efficiency leveraging people, processes and business systems.
  • Provide validation, support and PTO backup to Pricing Coordinator.
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with key cross functional partners in various areas including Revenue Management, Finance, Strategic Insights, Sales and Marketing, as well as external contact at the liquor boards and Constellation Brands.
  • Able to work effectively in a changing environment.

Requirements

Education

  • College or University - Finance/Business

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years pricing related experience, Beverage/Alcohol industry preferred
  • Minimum 3 years finance/general accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working with system to system integrations, data relationships and integrity
  • Participating in collaborative projects, progress updates, meeting goals and deadlines
  • Providing national support, interacting with cross functional business partners at various levels of management

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Analytics, Lookups, Pivot tables etc)
  • Proficient with MS Outlook and JD Edwards (Advanced Pricing and/or Order to Cash functions)

Specialized Skills

  • Analytically minded, with a desire to understand the connection between pricing changes and the impact to the company’s profitability.
