Inventory Analyst (VQA) (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Job Description:

This role is responsible for reporting and analysis on VQA volume as well as coordination of Inventory at Risk (IAR) and the long-term Supply Planning process that matches VQA demand with expected availability of grapes over the next 3-4 years to make key demand and supply decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the Mid-to-Long-Term (MLT) supply planning process for VQA wines between cross functional teams and SVP Operations.
  • Highlight and assist in resolving VQA supply issues, such as harvest constraints versus expected demand.
  • Lead the Inventory at Risk (IAR) process with Sales and Operations, to mitigate risk of obsolescence.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) relating to IAR obsolesce and national inventory end of fiscal.
  • Work within the S&OP process to provide visibility to the organization on inventory projections and obsolescence risk
  • Support the operationalization of the New Product Development (NPD) process, including wine blend cost inputs.
  • Support Finance Operations Director in development of fiscal National Inventory Plan and Ideal Inventory.
  • Collaborate with Demand/Supply Planners to develop/improve the forecast for respective regions/channels, ie… guidance to adjust forecasts based on supply challenges.
  • Monitor and maintain fiscal inventory tracking against Plan to identify and highlight gaps to Plan on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for various stakeholders.
  • Assist with other adhoc tasks as required and continuously develop and improve existing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years of Supply Chain experience, with an emphasis on analysis, planning and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to problem solve, multi-task and react to changing priorities
  • Possess a “can-do” attitude and be a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgement and make sound, fact-based decisions
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of supply chain (forecasting, production planning and inventory control)
  • Ability to manage pressure and prioritize conflicting requests as well as excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Change management and process improvement skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong knowledge of ERP tool sets (J. D. Edwards an asset) and reporting through Power BI and Hubble
  • Experience with JDA planning modules is an asset
