We are currently seeking a qualified National Quality Assurance Specialist who will be responsible for program analytics, formulating recommendations for continuous improvement while overseeing our internal audit process for ISO and HACCP and providing process oversight for all Consumer Affairs communications. This position is based in our Niagara Falls facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support national Quality Management ISO 9001: 2015 and Food Safety Management HACCP and train other employees in ISO & HACCP for on-boarding and refresher
- Plan and facilitate Quality Management System (QMS) reviews, develop KPI's and scorecards, perform trending analysis, pull reports, draw conclusions, make recommendations and develop action plans
- Super User Administrator and provide support and training for users of the QMS software system.
- Develop, write, review and update Standard Operating Procedures and other documents
- Map out existing current state process flows, develop future state process flows, make improvements and validate the results with facts and data
- Provide process oversight, training and support for the network QMS and for all Consumer Affairs communications
- Plan, schedule, execute, report and follow up audits and assessments, including Benchmark assessments. Develop and execute related action plans.
- Perform internal, external and supplier audits and assessments in a team approach
- Verify compliance to standard national processes and systems
- Lead, organize & support product and process investigations
- Plan for data collection and statistical analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations; train others in statistical and Continuous Improvement/Lean methods
- Lead and participate in Continuous Improvement team investigations, projects and process re-designs. Validate improvements with facts and data
- Develop & design training materials & delivery
- Follow and support all Health and Safety
- Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements
Skills Necessary
- Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and excellent communication skills in all aspects of the role
- Execute effective problem solving with positive results
- Experienced Change Agent/ Change Management
- Statistical analysis
- Training design and delivery experience would be helpful
- Technical and report writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio
- Well organized able to manage multiple projects and priorities with excellent attention to detail
Qualifications
- University Degree in Food Science or Technical discipline preferred (BSc)
- Experience with implementation of Corrective Action programs
- Lead Auditor or experience with ISO 9001:2015
- Food Safety Experience with HACCP or ISO 22,000
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Experience with QMS software systems would be helpful
- Product or industry experience helpful
