Retail Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

  Niagara on the Lake, Ontario

We are a new winery located in Niagara and looking to create a dynamic and successful environment for our new team! 

Description

The Retail Manager will develop a sales team that will be professional and inspire our sales associates to be passionate about our wines and our clietele.

 

Duties to include:    

 -Develop sales tactics that increase wine club membership and wine sales

 -Create ideas that will be unique to the property for Events

 -Assist with Event and Restaurant Managers with on-site events

 -Willingness and ability to work on the tasting bar as needed to support the team

-Manage your team as a presence in the retail boutique

     

  • Your Team
    • Develop a positive work environment
    • Train new employees ensuring product knowledge and sales tactics
    • Set targets and goal areas for the associates
    • Maintain our brand standards with uniforms, store displays, signage
    • Host regular staff meetings to discuss new policies and vintages
    • Scheduling of all staff

 

  • Office Work
    • Reports of sales on a weekly basis
    • Perform retail inventory counts on a monthly basis
    • Keep records of sales associate targets and goals

 

Experience

 

  • Must have a minmum of 2 years in retail wine boutique supervision/mgt 
  • Creative and a love for the wine industry
  • College/University education an asset
  • Wine training (ISG or WSET an asset
  • Understand the importance of sales targets
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Able to take direction with all aspects of the position and accept Management decisions
  • POS savvy and good technological skills
  • Understand and create reports
  • Amazing work ethic and committment
