Marketing Brand Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Kirkwood Diamond Canada is one of Canada’s largest independent national beverage alcohol sales and marketing agencies. Our organization is focused on serving our suppliers to Canadian beverage industry from coast to coast, with knowledgeable, effective and sophisticated central support.  As we continue to grow, we are looking to hire a brand manager based in our Oakville head office to work nationally with 5 key partners – 3 Spirits and 2 Beer suppliers.  Brand management/marketing experience with either Spirits or Beer would be a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a range of brands nationally
  • Be the main contact between KDC, its suppliers, sales teams and Liquor Boards
  • Develop and manage the tactical merchandising and promotional programs
  • Oversee and manage the advertising and promotional budgets for the brands
  • Work with the suppliers to develop marketing strategies
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all listing applications and documentation related to new brand listing requirements. An Assistant Brand Manager (ABM) will assist with these inputs
  • Determine volume projections by sku and by province
  • Prepare all merchandising presentations for the suppliers to the Liquor Boards
  • Oversee and present monthly sales results and brand activities to the suppliers and KDC management
  • Analyze competitive sales activities, promotional programs, market conditions and competitive pricing
  • Develop launch strategies and plans for all new brands/listings
  • Create, develop, implement and evaluate all brand support strategies, outside of the Liquor Board environment
  • Manage and support an ABM.

Key Competencies:

  • Preferred experience in consumer packaged goods marketing
  • Preferred experience in beverage alcohol industry
  • Prior experience in developing and implementing marketing programs
  • Experience in advertising and working with external agencies is a asset
  • Marketing and sales process management
  • Experience in recruiting, training and managing people.
