Overview

The Sales and Marketing Assistant will work closely with the General Manager of Stag’s Hollow Winery and the Marketing Manager of Bench 1775 to help execute the strategic sales and marketing plans which support all sales through the distribution channels - wholesale and direct-to-consumer (DTC) - of both Stag’s Hollow Winery (80%) and Bench 1775 Winery (20%). Executing this strategy will involve advertising, digital marketing, trade marketing, liaising with sales agents, customer relationship management (CRM), inventory management, assisting with promotions, assisting with the planning and execution of events, assisting with media relations and competitions, content management in the social channels, creative design and writing for external and internal pieces and communication across all departments. This is an entry-level full-time year-round position with room to grow.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Marketing/Communications
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Proficient in Social Media, Digital Marketing & SEO
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Elevated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel specifically)
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Ads Manager
  • Passionate about photography, and able to use camera to capture photos and videos
  • Experience using WineDirect is an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English. Additional languages an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Passionate about the wine industry and selling wine
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience working in the wine industry is an asset
  • Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs regularly
  • Must have a valid ‘Serving It Right’ certification
  • Must have a valid work visa to work in Canada
