Direct to Consumer (DTC) Coordinator
This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiast and organized individual to directly impact sales and branding of a well known and appreciated Okanagan winery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Tasting Room Supervisor – Approximately 40%
· Scheduling of all staff to ensure adequate coverage during opening hours of the tasting room
· Provide feedback/coaching to all tasting room staff, complimentary and constructive, to ensure optimal efficiency and service levels for our clientele, while ensuring all policies and procedures are followed
· Educating staff and selling to visitors of our award-winning portfolio of wines
· Providing each visitor, and training all staff to provide, personal contact as befits the Wild Goose story
· Handling transactions as set by procedure
· Organizing, scheduling and conducting select tastings and tours
· Stocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness of the Tasting Room and all public areas
· Development and implementation of specialized experiences for our Wild Goose visitors and members
Wine Club Management – Approximately 25%
· Promoting, selling and retaining memberships in our successful Vintner’s Club
· Daily management of key touchpoints for existing members of the Vintner’s Club ensuring the veracity and accuracy of all data via communication via email, phone and in person
· Plan and execute bi-annual wine club allocations, ensuring 100% accuracy of customer information and fulfillment of their requests
· Development of special benefits and events directed at membership
Event Coordination – Approximately 10%
· Occasionally representing the winery at off site events/tastings
· Coordinating staffing, wines sales and food for all onsite events
· Promotion of our events and sales of tickets through all available sales channels
Administration – Approximately 25%
· Assist with the implementation of the annual Marketing Plan
· Assisting with the prep and shipment of Direct to Consumer orders
· Purchasing of all tasting room merchandise & supplies in accordance with the merchandising direction
· Data entry & filing of customer & vendor relationship transactions
And, of course, other duties as requested.
WE WILL INTERVIEW:
· Someone who has a passion to make a difference and see results of their efforts
· Someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get things done (from changing the bathroom garbage to talking to the winemaker about what our customers love in their gewürztraminer)
· Someone who loves interacting with customers and satisfying their wine needs
· Someone who takes pride in their work, the environment and seeing everyone around them succeed (also known as helping others)
· Has excellent written and verbal communications skills, and can use those skills to think on their feet
· Has excellent computer skills, including but not limited to outlook, office, CRM style software, on line design and communications platforms & social media platforms
· Someone who is organized, organized, organized
· Someone with a wine background, whether it is WSET training, or just a passion and general understanding how wine is made.
· Someone with some secondary marketing education, preferably an undergraduate degree
· Someone who can pack, lift and securely place a case of wine into someone’s truck, repeatedly.
