Tasting Room Host (two positions) (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Based in Okanagan Falls, the Heart of Wine Country™, Liquidity offers an artisan approach to winemaking - taking you on a journey of the senses that captures the art of winemaking from grape to glass in a stunning space where guests are wowed by the incredible views, eclectic artwork and locally inspired food. We are currently hiring for two key positions in our main tasting room and VIP tasting room for the 2018 season.

We are looking for energetic, outgoing and organized people with a passion for wine, food and art to join our team. If you are friendly, enjoy interacting with people and have your Serving It Right certificate, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for:

2 people from late April through to mid-December (part-time in shoulder seasons, full-time mid-May through Thanksgiving)


The job duties will include (but not be limited to):

·         Providing guests with a memorable tasting experience

·         Assisting customers with sales and/or shipping

·         Stocking shelves

·         Light housekeeping duties in public areas

·         Assisting with inventory transfer

·         Helping out at special events hosted by Liquidity

·         Promoting Tasting Room sales, online sales, events & Wine Club

Requirements include:

·         Serving It Right certification (available online)

·         Ability to make yourself heard in a noisy room

·         Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Hospitality experience

·         An interest in wine, from soil to bottle

·         WSET or ISG certifications preferred

·         Knowledge of the BC Wine industry & regions an asset

·         Ability to regularly carry 45 lb cases

·         Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours)

·         Availability to work weekends and holidays required

·         Must be legally entitled and eligible to work in Canada
