We are seeking a Territory Manager to join our Retail Team in the Okanagan.
Reporting into the District Sales Manager, The Territory Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the territorial sales plan and corresponding sales strategies (i.e., optimal chain/independent coverage and service, distribution, merchandising, promotion, and development) to maximize sales volume, net profit, and product distribution within your assigned territory.
We are looking for a teammate with:
- University /College diploma or equivalent experience
- Wine education (up to WSET Level III) preferred
- Exemplary leadership, customer service skills; including communication, product knowledge, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to set and stick to a sales plan, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes in circumstances such as stock shortages
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications such as Word, Outlook, Explorer and Excel
- Maintenance of privileged and confidential information relating to company sales
This teammate will be accountable for:
Sales Results
- Maximize market share in the assigned territory's retail accounts to assist in achieving provincial revenue & profit growth targets.
- Ensure volume, distribution, coverage, promotion, merchandising and public relations tactics, outlined by sales leadership are effectively implemented and executed across assigned account base.
- Operate assigned Liquor Control Boards within approved expense budget
Business Development
- Maintain and develop professional, productive partnership relationships with key LCB Stores/Grocery and Regional decision-makers to support overall sales and marketing strategies, organizational leadership, project management and competitive product positioning.
Communications
- Monitor, communicate and recommend solutions to management regarding competitor activities, business developments, market/product opportunities and follow-up on all customer complaints and concerns
- Active, knowledgeable participation in departmental and inter-departmental meetings.
Security/Health & Safety
- Ensure company car, business equipment, sales aids, miscellaneous allowances, and service stock issued are being used consistent with company policy.
- Promoting a health & safety culture by ensuring a safe and healthy work environment through effective operation of the Health and Safety program, joint H&S committee (if applicable) and compliance with EH&S regulations.
