We are now accepting applications for a Tasting Room Associate at our Jackson-Triggs facility for the 2018 season. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for wine, who is outgoing, enjoys meeting new people, is an effective and dynamic communicator, and can deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have some experience with wine sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests
- Engage guests
- Presenting Wine – Conducting tastings, suggested food pairings, wine education
- Fulfillment of closing the sale
- Add on sales
- Confirming sales with a thank-you and invitation to return
- Conducting tours and leading winery experiences where applicable and as qualified
- Stocking wine and retail Items, inventory
- Daily cleaning duties
- Shipping and packaging
- Answering phones and directing guests appropriately
- Set-up and tear down for tasting events and special event programs (on or offsite)
- Kitchen duties (assist with dishwashing, glass polishing, minor food preparation as necessary)
- Food service (patio where applicable, private events)
- To relay customer complaints and issues to immediate supervisor
Job Requirements
- Experienced in wine and food industry – an asset
- Excellent sales ability
- Serving It Right Certification
- First Aid qualifications – an asset
- Second language – an asset
- Detail oriented, multitasker
- Strong work ethic – individually and as part of a team
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
- Able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
- Willing to continually expand knowledge of the wine making process and the wine industry
- Courteous, friendly, positive team attitude
- Patient and able to handle repetitive questions and duties
- Flexible with work schedule - must have the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
