Position: Tasting Bar Associate (Seasonal, until October 31st)

At Church & State Wines – Oliver, we’re more than just a winery — we’re a passionate team committed to crafting premium and ultra-premium wines that showcase the best of our estate vineyards. We produce under two celebrated labels: Church & State Wines and Lost Inhibition.

We are currently seeking Tasting Bar Associates to join our team for the 2025 season. If you’re enthusiastic about wine, love engaging with people, and thrive in a team-focused environment, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Engage guests in meaningful, one-on-one wine tasting experiences that educate and tell our winery story

  • Promote wine sales and wine club memberships with confidence and professionalism

  • Support day-to-day tasting room operations: restocking wine and merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized space, processing transactions, and cashing out

  • Assist with wine packing and curbside service when needed

  • Monitor responsible service, including pour sizes, guest sobriety, and legal drinking age compliance

  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet sales targets

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for wine and hospitality — WSET or similar training is an asset

  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort using POS systems

  • Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods, including on stairs

  • A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic

  • Serving It Right certification (required)
