We are seeking a DTC Specialist to join our Direct to Consumer, West Team located at Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. Tinhorn Creek Vineyards in Oliver, BC is one of the Okanagan's most innovative and environmentally sustainable estate wineries with an extensive health and safety program. We are a 450-ton winery in the heart of the South Okanagan wine region, with vineyards on both the Golden Mile Bench and the Black Sage Bench. We produce roughly 50:50 white and red, and our two unique vineyard sites allow us to grow both Bordeaux and Burgundy varietals in addition to a dash of Syrah and Gewurztraminer. We employ a basic and natural wine making approach and have a small but skilled team you would enjoy working with.

Reporting into the DTC Manager, the DTC Specialist will be responsible for wine club administration, driving sales of wine and wine-related products, and facilitating a positive ongoing relationship with Direct Delivery and Wine Club customers.

What you Offer:

  • Post-secondary diploma in marketing, business, or hospitality; wine Knowledge/Education an asset
  • Strong sales ability; experience in Retail/Wine store sales providing best-in-class service for consumers
  • Excellent communication skills; congenial, pleasant, tactful, and able to maintain composure under stressful conditions
  • Ability to exercise judgement and function independently
  • Adapt at complaint resolution and autonomous decision making within set parameters
  • Ability to follow safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/hazards to their reporting Manager.
  • Exceptional technology and computer skills and knowledge
  • Criminal Record Check as per the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) requirement 12.7


What You Will Have Fun Doing:

  • Generating new members and retaining existing members by creating new strategies, events, and sales promotions
  • Creating opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Building relationships with customers via phone, e-mail, website, and personal contact at member exclusive events.
  • Maximizing billable clubs to minimize card failures and maximize billable memberships and orders
  • Accurate, prompt, and comprehensive response to customer needs
  • Day-to-day e-mail and phone interaction with wine club members maintaining accurate member profiles assisting with member enquiries
  • Executing member recovery efforts by calling customers with declined cards, lapsed pick-ups and deliveries
  • Maintaining accurate database of club members and DTC customers
  • Assisting the DTC Manager with reporting, e-comm scheduling, building email databases, assisting with developing E-comm offers and information newsletter ideas
  • Addressing customer complaints and concerns offering solutions
