Nk’Mip Cellars is a successful joint venture partnering the Osoyoos Indian Band with Arterra Wines Canada. As North America’s first Aboriginal owned and operated winery and winner of Intervin’s 2016 Canadian Winery of the Year, we feature premium, award winning BC VQA wines in the beautiful South Okanagan. THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Nk’Mip Cellars Tasting Bar Associate, you create the experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you can help create lasting memories by providing a welcoming, educational wine experience, offering superior customer service and sending guests home with their favourite bottle of Nk’Mip Cellars wine.
DAILY LIFE
- Greet all guests warmly and make them feel welcome throughout their visit
- Conduct wine tastings, suggest food pairings, educate & close the sale
- Stock wine and retail items
- Daily cleaning duties; a clean and beautiful winery is essential for positive guest experiences!
Job Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older & Serving It Right certificate
- Must possess a passion for people, wine and the hospitality industry
- Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required – both individually and as part of a team
- Courteous, friendly, positive attitude
- Related training (WSET/ISG) and/or second language an asset, but not required
- Able to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods of time
