Hillside Winery & Bistro is located on the Naramata Bench, just minutes from Penticton BC. Established in 1989, we are one the oldest wineries in the region. We have a rich history and long-standing reputation for providing exceptional, award-winning wines.
We have full-time position available for a DTC & MARKETING ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT starting MARCH 1st 2022
Position Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of wine club and wine shop.
- Answers phone calls, updates listings and supports visitors.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying etc.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone and email.
- Coordinate and execute club shipments alongside the DTC & Marketing Manager
- Engage with club members and trade/media on a one-on-one basis, educating and telling the story of Hillside in an effective and dynamic way.
- Educate club members and trade/media about our wines, sharing information about our history and philosophy, as well as our winemaking practices.
- Assisting customers with wine purchases while building relationships and providing a high standard of customer service.
- Present the wine club benefits, while also assisting current wine club members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with WineDirect an asset.
- WSET Certification or other wine education is an asset.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of wine or a keen interest in wine.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Comfort with computers
- Serving it Right Certificate.
- At least 19 years of age.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job. These include but are not limited to lifting up to 40 lbs while navigating stairs or equipment and standing for extended periods of time.
Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays. Hours will vary and fluctuate due to business volume.
