Roche Wines Tasting Room Associate P/T and F/T:
Deep roots in French tradition nourish our shared passion for soils, vines and wine. Dedicated to natural, artisanal farming and winemaking on the Naramata Bench, Roche Wines strives to reveal the intimate relation of wine and terroir.
Each of our wines is the expression of one place, one exceptional Okanagan terroir. Hands-on farming is our priority, and this artisanal scale is reflected in the limited quantities produced. We strive to make wines of ever greater clarity and precision.
We are currently hiring for two key positions in our tasting room for the 2021 season.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing and organized people with a passion for wine to join our team. If you enjoy interacting with people, are personable, and have your Serving It Right certificate, we would like to hear from you. We are looking to fill some seasonal positions with the possibility of some cellar work if there is interest:
Position starting April/June through to end of October.
The job duties will include (but not be limited to):
▪ Providing guests with a memorable tasting experience
▪ Assisting customers with sales and/or shipping
▪ Stocking shelves
▪ Light housekeeping duties in public areas
▪ Assisting with inventory transfer
▪ Helping at special events onsite
▪ Internal promotion of our wine club, events, and dinners
Requirements:
▪ Serving It Right certification (available online)
▪ Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
▪ Attention to detail
▪ WSET education is considered an asset.
▪ Hospitality experience
▪ A keen interest in wine, from soil to bottle
▪ Knowledge of the BC Wine industry & regions an asset
▪ Ability to regularly carry 45 lb cases
▪ Ability to stand for your working shift
▪ Availability to work weekends and holidays required
▪ Must be legally entitled and eligible to work in Canada
