Our client, a South Okanagan winery is looking for a creative, ambitious, hardworking Marketing Coordinator. With only a few years’ experience you will; learn, grow, contribute and be part of the long range aspirations and success of the team. Responsibilities are as follows;
Direct to Consumer (DTC) Sales Management
- Rigorously develop the winery’s Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) sales business
- Gain proficiency using the winery’s e-commerce software for all functions (online sales, email communications and sales reporting)
- Update and manage winery’s subscriber database, ensuring that profiles are up to date
- Manage all subscriber communications, including newsletters
- Plan and execute wine club events in conjunction with other team members
- Support the management of the "info@" account, responding to inquiries and forwarding as required
Website & General Winery Communications
- Ensure up to date content on the winery’s website
- Manage website updates; and work with the website provider to increase SEO efficiencies
- Create Press Releases for external partners to coincide with major winery news
Social Media Coordination
- Develop and execute a plan to increase winery’s brand visibility, engagement, and wine sales via social media platforms
- Lead the execution and act as the 'go-to' for winery’s social media presence, developing written and image content as required
- Procure content through all areas of the business: executive, vineyard, winery, hospitality, and events
- Upload content to social media outlets while on and off-site as required
Marketing Coordination
- Manage the applications for Wine Festivals, Promotional Events and Competitions
- Support the winery’s representation at trade shows and off-site events
- Coordinate the production of marketing collateral and point of sale material
- Coordinate the on-demand printing of these materials, with both internal and external partners
- Ability to represent the winery’s values when working with the public and customer base
Brand Ambassador Tasting Room & Offsite Event Support
- Offer the highest level of service and provide a warm, engaging and memorable experience to all winery visitors
- Regularly host the public, trade, and media in the Tasting Room during the open season
- Support the Hospitality team in service and execution of winery events
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Commerce, Business or Marketing
- A minimum of 2 years DTC wine marketing experience; luxury consumer packaged goods marketing experience considered an asset
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Passionate about offering high levels of customer service; wine service skills considered an asset
- Excellent core computer skills (MS Office Suite, WordPress); basic graphic design skills considered an asset
- Ability to quickly master new e-commerce tools, or solid competency using industry standards (WineDirect)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing demands in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work the occasional evening / weekend
- Able to safely lift up to 15 kg / 35 pounds
- 19+ years of age & a valid BC Driver’s License
