JOB SUMMARY
Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established with our first vintage in 1988. At that time we were one of a very few estate wineries dedicated to producing premium quality wines made from 100% Ontario grown grapes. Today, Henry of Pelham is a 200K+ case producer in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.
We are currently looking for a Bottling Line Operator who will be responsible for operating packaging and bottling equipment as well as grape receiving equipment during the harvest season.

Reports to: Winemaking
Works with: Winemaker and Winemaking Team, Bottling Line Team, Lab Technicians, Shipping/Receiving, Cellar Technicians
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills
· Able to work in a fast paced environment
· Detail Oriented, hardworking and enthusiastic
· Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and team oriented
· Good organizational, listening and problem solving skills
· Minimum of three years’ experience operating packaging equipment
· Winery experience is a plus
· Forklift license and driving experience is an asset
Education
· Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties
· Operate both manual and automated case de-palletizers, bottle filler, case packers and case stackers.
· Operate automated grape receiving systems such as crusher/ de-stemmers, pumps and grape presses.
Key Assets
· Able to perform all functions in specialized areas.
· Know and follow company “Standard Operating Procedures”.
· Record keeping for downtime activity logs, bottling line operator checks, grape receiving work orders.
· Working knowledge of all bottling and grape receiving equipment.
· Strong understanding of mechanical equipment.
· Able to diagnose problems to minimize downtime.
· Harvest (September to November) and Icewine Processing (December/January) will require some shift work and overtime, including some weekends.
