Westridge HR, on behalf of our client Villa Bacchus Winery is seeking a Retail Sales Associate.

 

Villa Bacchus Winery

Focusing on premium, small-lot VQA wines, particularly Appassimento wines and big bold reds, Villa Bacchus is a well-appointed 32-acre estate winery located at the top of the Niagara Escarpment in Twenty Valley wine country.  Along with a retail boutique, the estate property boasts stunning landscapes that include expansive vineyards, gazebos and a pond that provides a beautiful setting for private and corporate functions and events.  Villa Bacchus wines are sold exclusively at the Estate’s Retail Boutique as well as within Commisso’s Fresh Foods.

 

Retail Sales Associate

The Retail Sales Associate focusses on achieving sales and wine club membership targets at Villa Bacchus retailing sites (Estate Winery and Commisso’s Fresh Foods) by providing exceptional hospitality and customer/guest service. This role also has responsibility for opening and closing retail/hospitality areas. 

 

Start Date: ASAP

Work Locations:  Villa Bacchus Winery (Beamsville) & Commisso’s Fresh Foods (Niagara Falls)

Job Type: Regular part-time (3-4 shifts per week)

Shifts: 10:30 am - 5:30 pm; including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

             (occasional evening work may be required)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, Commensurate with experience

 

Job Responsibilities:

·       Lead product tastings, winery tours, and experiences

·       Operate point-of-sale system; perform opening and closing duties

·       Support on-site winery functions and events; including assisting with set-up and tear-down             

·       Represent the winery at off-site tastings/events

·       Assist with stocking, cleaning, and inventory duties

 

Experience & Skills Required:

·       Exceptional hospitality and customer/guest service skills are a must

·       Smart Serve certification is required

·       Formal wine education an asset; including WSET or ISG/CAPS

·       Post-secondary studies in Hospitality/Tourism or Business/Marketing an asset

·       Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
