Winemaker
(Wine Jobs:
Vineyards & Cellars )
Full Time
SUMMERLAND,
British Columbia
About Us:
Lunessence Winery and Vineyards is a boutique premium winery in Summerland, in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Since the property was purchased in 2014 we have made a commitment to sustainable vineyard and winemaking practices. We currently produce approx. 5,000 cases annually, producing all of the wines at the Summerland estate winery, complete with our own bottling and labelling lines. We have a 6 acre estate vineyard site, from which we are looking to start making premium single vineyard, small lot wines of distinction. We also work with a small number of independent grape growing partners, that provide the fruit to make unique wines from different sites in the valley.
The Position:
The Winemaker is responsible for the direction and leadership of the winemaking team, working collaboratively with the owners, the viticulturist, the general manager and assistant winemaker to produce exceptional wines. This is an opportunity to join a young winery and help define the identity of Lunessence wines over the coming vintages. We will also be planting a new site immediately next door in the Spring of 2020, so this is an opportunity to play a role in the design, varietal selection and plans for a new vineyard.
