Colio also produces award winning Craft Cider & Beer with our Thornbury Village Cidery & Brewery. Our Pick-up Truck Pilsner has won gold at the Ontario Craft Brewing Awards. We also boast the top selling Ontario Craft Cider made from 100% fresh pressed Ontario apples.
We represent a range of international brands such as Warsteiner Brewery from Germany, Cumulus Estate Wines from Australia, Frisky Zebra from South Africa and a number of other international wine suppliers.
As part of our expansion and succession planning strategy, Colio Estate Wines Inc. requires a Retail & Hospitality Manager for its Thornbury location, with responsibility for the daily operations and profitability of the Cider House according to set goals and business objectives of the Company. The Retail & Hospitality Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager – Colio Retail and Grocery.
The duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Be the brand ambassador for Thornbury and Cider & Beer and Colio Wines.
- Promote the tap room and grow the business.
- Management of daily operations, reporting to the manager
- Hands-on involvement in customer service.
- Meet financial objectives.
- Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with MOL regulations and AGCO regulations.
- Part time staff supervision and training.
- Customer satisfaction and positive complaint resolution.
- Inventory management and physical counts.
- Balance sales, print and record receipts.
- Record credit card and debit accounts.
- Other duties may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post Secondary courses.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Passion about Craft Cider & Beer.
- Experience with POS systems, banking procedures.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- General mathematical skills.An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift items as heavy as 40 lbs.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Smart Serve certified.
- General wine and cider knowledge.
