Thornbury Village Brew & Cider House is where our award-winning Beers & Ciders are crafted. We have been brewing beer for over 15 years with great tasting lagers like the award winning Thornbury Pick-up No. 26 Pilsner, Ladder Run Amber and Dam Dark Lager. We also have the top selling Ontario Craft Cider.
Colio also represents a range of international brands such as Bacalhoa Group of Wineries from Portugal, Warsteiner Brewery from Germany, Cumulus Estate Wines from Australia, Frisky Zebra from South Africa and a number of other international wine & spirit suppliers.
As part of our growth and continued success, we require a full-time person for warehouse and production activities. This is a new position that will report to the Cider Master and will coordinate and execute various production and warehouse related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Warehouse Activities:

Load and receive trucks
-
Plan, pick and prepare orders to ship to LCBO, Retail Store 15 and External customers.

Inventory Control of packaging materials and packaged goods
-
Monitor inventory of packaging materials
-
Organize warehouses
-
Monitor general building supplies
-
Full packaged goods inventory counts
-
Accurate Documentation
-
Oversee the General Building grounds
Production activities:
-
Wash and sanitize kegs
-
Fill in on packaging lines (can, bottle and Keg filling) breaks and as required.

Cleaning and sanitizing of various tanks and equipment
-
General cleanliness and housekeeping
-
Assist in tanker unloading
Follow all Health and Safety policies, practices and procedures.
Follow all Colio Estate Wines Standard Operating Procedures
Other duties shall be assigned as required.
Interested candidates should possess;

The Ability to get along well with others and work as a team is essential.

Excellent organizational skills
-
Computer skills with Basic Experience with Excel, Word and Outlook

Food and Beverage manufacturing and sanitation experience is preferred
-
Previous Fork lift is required. Forklift operators permit an asset but Certification will be provided.

Shipping receiving experience is an asset.

Ability to lift 25 kg
-
A self-starter with high energy levels and a “does what it takes” attitude.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Hours of Work: Typically, Day shift Monday to Friday with potential for afternoon shift work during peak times.
