Sales Representative –Downtown Toronto On-Premises & Key Accounts

Charton Hobbs Inc. is a well established, highly reputable National wine, spirits, sales, and marketing agency selling such luxury brands as Moet Hennessey and many other premium brands. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the Toronto on-premises, fine dining, and night club key accounts.

Calling regularly on the majority of Toronto’s best restaurants, bars, and hotels, the primary role of this position is to increase the market share of Charton Hobbs’ portfolio with a greater emphasis on specialty and ultra-premium wines, spirits, and champagnes.  The role will also involve the managing of select, upscale casual dining chain accounts.  

The successful candidate must have an excellent track record as a career salesperson.  Product knowledge/enthusiasm for high-ticket wines & spirits is also required and previous key accounts selling experience is a plus. Restaurant/wine/food experience and special event planning experience also a plus. This position also requires behind-the-scenes industry knowledge of future account openings in a rapidly expanding market.  Additional responsibilities include creating and organizing evening and weekend wine & spirits events with downtown accounts as well as attendance at trade events that also involve evenings and weekends. 


This is one of the most dynamic and competitive liquor sales territories in the country – but equally offers an opportunity to work an outstanding portfolio with some of the country’s leading restaurants, sommeliers, and bar managers in a trend-setting market.

Potential candidates must have completed basic wine education/appreciation courses (WSET 2 or 3); have a passion for wine and spirits, and the ability to hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel. Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience.

  • Ability to analyze statistics for targeting sales.
  • Ability to set and execute high standards of performance.
  • Advanced organization and planning skills and the ability to respect tight schedules.
  • Bachelor Degree or related business experience preferred.

Base salary plus incentive bonus, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
