Inventory Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Profile Wine Group, one of Canada’s premier wine agencies is currently seeking an Inventory Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of all inventory control and planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels within multiple sales channels.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Plan and ensure adequate inventory levels in support of on-premise and LCBO sales volumes

• Monitor daily inventory levels using various data sources – LCBO reports, company ERP systems and databases

• Ensure purchase orders are processed and submitted to the LCBO on a timely basis

• Identify, address and resolve any supply chain issues

• Compile and analyze inventory depletion statistics

• Optimize inventory turnover by identifying slow moving products and working with sales staff to implement corrective measures

• Act as primary contact for LCBO – day to day and escalations

• Work with various LCBO staff to optimize inventory levels and availability

•  Negotiate product pricing, availability, and quantity allocations with suppliers

• Facilitate the resolution of supplier issues pertaining to various LCBO issues including supplier payments, purchase order processing, etc.

• Provide sales staff with regular inventory levels and product pricing updates

• Ensure price lists and company website are updated to reflect product additions, changes and deletes as required

• Manage product related requirements for trade shows, Portfolio, and private tastings

 

Requirements:

 

• 3 to 5 years progressive inventory management experience

• Excellent ability to analyze data and develop inventory planning models

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office  – Excel, Word

• Excellent organizational and planning skills

• Alcohol beverage industry experience an asset
