Thornbury Village Brew & Cider House is where our award winning Ciders & Beers are crafted. We have been brewing beer for over 15 years with great tasting lagers like the award winning Thornbury Pick-up No. 26 Pilsner, Ladder Run Amber, Dam Dark and Heritage 1833. We also have the top selling Ontario Craft Cider made from 100% fresh pressed Ontario apples.
Colio also represents a range of international brands such as Warsteiner Brewery from Germany, Cumulus Estate Wines from Australia, Frisky Zebra from South Africa and a number of other international wine suppliers.
As part of our expansion and succession planning strategy, Colio Estate Wines Inc. requires a full time Key Account Manager.
Position Summary
The Key Account Manager reports directly to the Ontario Sales Manager. Your goal will be to achieve maximum licensee wine, beer & cider sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory. The role will also require management of a small LCBO territory.
Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies

Responsible for growing the licensee and LCBO wine, beer and cider business in the Toronto territory.

80% of your time will be focused on the licensee business.

20% of your time will be focused on the LCBO business.

Execute LCBO programming and strategy
-
Execute Colio licensee programming and strategy.

Solid understanding of the craft beer/cider industry and trends.

Solid understanding of the VQA wine industry and trends.

Technical beer knowledge and experience with draught lines, installations and servicing equipment.

Proven track record in building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers as well as internal associates.

Demonstrated ability to proactively identify customer issues, recommend solutions and effectively implement solutions.

Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on commitments.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
-
Experience implementing beer focused on-premise programs to drive increased volume and revenue.

Demonstrated ability to achieve targets with a minimal amount of direction.

Computer literacy with the ability to skillfully use software applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and e-mail programs such as outlook.

Utilize CRM tool for industry research/data, call logging and developing sales pitches

Solid planning and analytical skills.

Demonstrated experience in the use of syndicated data & foundational category management principles.

Overnight travel could be required for this role.

Team player and effective internal communicator.

Evening and weekend work will be required for this role.

Manage account budgets and company brand budgets.

Assist in developing the Ontario consignment program.

Organize and execute supplier trade visits.

Execute community events and sponsorships.

Account staff training seminars on wine, beer, cider and food pairings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3-5 years’ sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry, with a focus on licensee sales

WSET or equivalent wine education preferred

Beer education - Prud'homme certification or equivalent preferred

University Degree or College Diploma
