Responsibilities
  • To ensure that the annual sales volume, revenue and margin contribution of those stores in the assigned territory and within approved budgetary guidelines meet the planned levels that support the achievement of the provincial business plan based on Import and Domestic brands 
  • Strive to outpace the market within your territory to gain share
  • To service current products, secure distribution & expand the sales of Arterra Wines Canada products (import & domestic) to a predefined group of retail stores in a predetermined territory.
  • To provide each targeted account with after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction 
  • To secure territory volume/$ opportunities with targeted local trade – based special events (involves weekend work at times)
  • To secure and ensure the maintenance of displays and listings at store level to achieve their required results per period.
  • To take a leadership role with the team and support District Sales Manager for any information, territory data, etc. required
  • Help Manage the Sales Associates by using his/her managerial experience to teach and mentor their respective Sales Associate. 
  • Owning any and all events in the respective territory (must have appropriate ROI).  
 Key Job Functions  
Sales Associate Management: 
  • Teach and mentor the Sales Associates with his/her management experience in order for them to drive growth and hit plan
  • Outline required results for Sales associates and sure they stay on track with their objectives
  • Ensure Sales Associate stays within budgetary plans
Territory Management: 
  • Achieve the required results for call frequency in territory
  • Achieve required results for CF
  • Achieve required results for listing and display drives (retail)
  • Achieve Volume/$/Spend objectives within Retail Channel
  • Manage their spending budget (SGA)
  • Maintain current relationships with customers and build new ones
  • Work closely to direct sales associate 
Administration: :  
  • Submission of timely and accurate sales reports and expenses
  • Accurate Salesforce.com (SFDC) details on sales calls and territory management
  • Organizing calendars, planning for the week, reading through the Strategic Accounts materials sent out weekly
  • Gathering competitive information and reporting back through management.
Requirements of an ideal candidate: 
  • University Degree, or College diploma preferred.
  • Previous beverage alcohol sales/Inside Sales experience a requirement. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Job follow up critical to the success of this role
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Computer and strong presentation skills
  • High level of initiative and creativity
  • Self-starter and works well independently 
  • Proven track record of building lasting relationships with key customers
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Sales ability/persuasiveness that translates to sales (closing the sale)
  • Building business partnerships
  • Results oriented and highly self-motivated
  • Efficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Wine knowledge is an asset
  • Understanding of restaurant business would be an asset
  • Flexibility (not everything will always go as planned) + some weekend events
  • Detail Oriented is an asset
