B.I System Administration and Data Analyst (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable full-time, permanent B.I System Administration and Data Analyst in one of the leading wine agencies in Canada.

The B.I System Administration and Data Analyst will partner with the business at all levels of the organization, transforming strategic business needs into Business Intelligence requirements.  This key role has a massive potential within a fast-growing organization.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain ETL automation applications as needed.
  • Independently create OLAP cubes, metadata models, data reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence and database tools (IBM Cognos, SQL Server, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
  • Administer Shopify and CRM instances
  • Build and Maintain reports by querying data, creating stored procedures, views, and joining data sources/tables.
  • Ensure Database backups are done in a timely manner
  • Provide in-person and remote technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to Data Analysis, BI Reports, and Systems.
  • Maintenance of in-house custom-built web applications (adding new features, updating values, fixing bugs etc.)
  • Stage data for integration with external systems
  • Ensure data backups of all critical systems are being uploaded in a timely fashion
  • Working with IT team to manage and deployment BI and Other Business System setup for new employees
  • Project management/requirement gathering for IT related projects
  • Manage third party IT vendors

 

Required Skillset/Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with BI system - IBM Cognos.
  • Proficient in SQL (intermediate or higher)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite
  • BS in Information Systems, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently in a demanding environment
  • Knowledge in Web languages (ASP.NET, C#, VB, JS, Ajax) and ERP System (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is an asset
  • Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
  • A passion for wine
