Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Revenue Management the Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for supporting the Revenue Manager to develop regional promotional recommendations for the business through analysis and data intelligence to meet the Company’s financial objectives and optimize revenue.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day to day tasks within the team, which include updating reports, updating monthly tools and providing data to the Revenue Manager.
• Support analytical work on understanding price positioning versus competitors in the market.
• Support analytics and insights that maximize promo performance and ROI
• Deliver insights to Revenue Manager on pricing execution and pricing performance versus expectations.
• Support annual price strategy work through scenario analysis to maximize growth and profitability.
• Support ad hoc analytic requests that support pricing strategies as required.
• Conducts data validation and exploration for analysis of trade activities to identify benefits achieved.
• Power user of Spotfire tools to provide advanced analysis
Education, Experience & Competency Requirements
• University undergraduate degree in Commerce, Mathematics, or Economics
• 1-3 years’ experience in Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance or relevant analytical roles
• Familiarity with syndicated market measurements data and custom consumer and shopper qualitative and quantitative research techniques
• Experience with Point of Sale (POS) data is preferred (AIMIA, AC Nielsen etc.)
• Financial/Commercial background/experience an asset, with a focus on pricing
• Experience within CPG preferred (Liquid Refreshment Beverages is an asset)
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills
Required Skills and Knowledge
• Expert level excel skills are required
• Familiarity with databases and database management
• Previous experience with Consumer Market research is required
• Demonstrated data intelligence acumen
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large and complex data sets and synthesis insights
• Demonstrated ability to synthesis and articulate data to a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong understanding of Category Management
• Demonstrated financial acumen and modeling capabilities
• Proficient communication skills with a comfort in front of an executive level audience
• Excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
