Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Regional Marketing Manager-Western Canada (RMM) is a full-time role which provides both marketing and sales support in the Western Provinces. The RMM is responsible for providing ongoing in-market support through the implementation of marketing initiatives that relate to the represented brands within the portfolio. The RMM works closely with the Regional Sales Director and National Brand Managers to ensure timely and effective sales and brand building activities. Additionally, the RMM plays an important role in the identifying issues and opportunities that emerge from the oversight, review and analysis of sales and related performance metrics within the Western Provinces.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides sales & marketing programming administration and execution in BC, AB, SK and MB, both within the private market and the provincial liquor boards.
• Works with the National Brand Mangers / Assistant Brand Managers to ensure all necessary tender submissions are completed in a thorough and timely manner consistent with the processes determined by each liquor board jurisdiction.
• Coordinates with the National Brand Managers on sales forecasts, budgets and monthly performance through the provision of activity reports and brand summaries.
• Analyzes and reports results of all marketing activities monthly, with regard to brand performance to ensure sufficient spending support needed to succeed in the market.
• Collaborates with the Western Canada sales team in the identification and evaluation of promotional opportunities to support sales and brand activations for KDC portfolio including sponsorships, events and festivals.
• Undertakes post-event performance / ROI analysis.
• Provides in-market support for the deployment of sponsorships, events and festivals by providing all necessary POS / marketing materials.
• Serves as a source of competitive / consumer intelligence
Qualifications
• Possess a degree or diploma in marketing and/or business administration
• A minimum of 3-5 years sales support / administration experience preferably in the beverage alcohol industry or consumer packaged goods
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office
• High attention to detail, with strong analytical and negotiating skills
• Able to work independently
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 30lbs
• Must be able to travel as needed
