Wine Club Manager

Frind Estate Winery is a breathtaking lakefront winery situated on the historic Bennett Property in West Kelowna, British Columbia. The property was purchased in 2017 after Markus Frind sold his company Plenty of Fish and wanted to do something more hands-on. With over 500 years of family farming history, Markus wanted to combine his two passions; technology and agriculture. Today Frind Estate Winery is one of the most advanced wineries in the world, using cutting edge technology to create truly distinctive wines.

Frind Estate Winery is looking for a dynamic, energetic, wine-loving person to join our team as the Wine Club Manager.

The Wine Club Manager's main focus is growing and managing all aspects of Frind Estate Winery's Wine Club program. They are responsible for driving wine sales through the direct-to-consumer channel by growing and retaining membership and providing exceptional guest service to current and prospective club members.

Members are introduced to the wine club through the tasting room, winery events, social media, and word of mouth. The Wine Club Manager is the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, so relationship building is a large part of this position. Additionally, they are responsible for working with the Frind team to make sure customer-facing employees are aware of club benefits and positioning to consumers when visiting the winery.

This role requires someone to work with the Estate Manager as well as the sales team in providing an exemplary customer experience for wine club members while continuing to grow the membership as well as the back-end administration of the program. They will need exceptional organization, time management and multitasking skills to manage program logistics and communication with members while maintaining accountability to our business metrics.



• Developing new club program concepts, promotional programs, and marketing plans

• Preparing annual plans, budgets, and wine allocations for club shipments and all club activities programs


• Increasing club membership and customer retention based on annual planning

• Collecting and analyzing member data, feedback, benchmark data, and problem-solving

• Working with the Sales team and Estate Manager on newsletter, e-blasts, club event flyers, and other promotional materials

• Developing and maintaining lively communication with the Club members and other online customers using social media, e-blasts/email, etc.

• Building and maintaining of a first-class Wine Club

• Planning and conducting off-site consumer events as allowed by regulations (COVID-19)


• Training and supporting team in sales of memberships and overall direct sales

• Developing and tracking results of incentive programs to increase memberships

• Planning and executing club and direct-to-consumer events


• Supervising the processing of orders using Wine Direct and shipping software

• Analyzing all costs related to shipping and handling

• Verifying invoicing and accounting for all club activities


• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of four years’ experience in wine sales

• Strong experience with DTC marketing channels specifically social media, e-mail, and phone

• In-depth knowledge of consumer trends, and the ability to analyze purchase data

• Excellent marketing skills with a proven track record in sales and customer satisfaction • Passion for wines and knowledge of Frind wines

• Must be a team player who can consistently maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure

• Efficient and detail-oriented with exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office applications

• Experience with Wine Direct a plus

• Flexible in hours, available both weekdays, weekends and holidays with the
