Communications Specialist
Hillebrand Winery, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

We are currently seeking a dynamic; communications expert with a strong marketing background to join our team. The successful candidate will manage all internal and external communication and marketing initiatives for Hillebrand, Peller Estates and Thirty Bench Wine Makers.

Accountabilities include:
Digital & Social Media Marketing:
Manages content and all tourism related updates to websites including Hillebrand, Peller Estates, Thirty Bench and Trius.
Initiates development of all external e-blasts to communicate winery events.
Maintains current Facebook accounts and investigates new social media platforms.

External Communications:
Ensures winery event and experience communication tactics are completed on time and shared within websites, happening sheets, media releases and wine club inserts.

Internal Communications:
Creates and executes the EWG Winery News.
Initiates Event Check Lists to gather accurate information for all winery experiences.

Media Relations:
Pro-actively pitches EWG based tourism activities to appropriate media outlets based on media calendar.
Develops media relations with Ontario/Toronto/Niagara Tourism and other strategic media partners.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
High level of industry and product knowledge including wine, non-wine, and tourism products.
Ability to prioritize own workload.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Desktop publishing and social media platforms. 
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong creative writing skills are an asset. •A University degree/College diploma in public relations/communications or marketing.

This position requires an ability to work some evenings and weekends.
