We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor to work at one of Lake Country's most desirable and reputable restaurant'The Lookout Restaurant located at Gray Monk Estate Winery! As the Restaurant Supervisor you will provide support to the front of house ("FOH") restaurant management team; you will be required to act as Manager on Duty ("MOD") in their absence; as well, you will provide appropriate coaching to front of house teammates.

We are looking for a teammate with:

  • A Graduate or enrolled in an internationally recognized Sommelier program or WSET program would give you bonus points
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • A passion for working with the public and creating "best in class" service for guests
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • A "Can Do" attitude and loves working a busy, fast paced work environment
  • Experience in supervising a high-performance team

You will be accountable for:

  • Front-of-house (FOH) Food and Beverage (including alcohol) service, creating high-quality dining experiences that promote brand Image and meet/exceed financial objectives
  • Understanding and maximizing revenues per guest transaction achieving and/or exceeding Wine Club membership targets
  • Providing support to the front of house ("FOH") restaurant team including teammate training, coaching and leadership
  • Maintenance of FOH restaurant expenditures, including monitoring and controlling labour costs
  • Ensuring Functions information is up to date and accurate
  • Acting as Manager on Duty ("MOD") in the absence of Restaurant Manager including opening and closing of restaurant
  • Assisting with leadership in a supervisory capacity, leading pre-shift meetings, attending daily function meetings
  • Executing and championing Restaurant Standards of Service and Restaurant Operational policies and procedures
  • Ensuring a Safe and Healthy Work Environment by ensuring alignment with Company Respect in the Workplace Policy in addition to the effective operation of the Health and Safety program and Joint Health and Safety Committee and ensures compliance with government regulations 
  • Understanding and compliance with COVID Protocols 

***Incumbents for these roles must be a minimum of 19 years of age and in possession of a valid "Serve it Right" certification.
