Azhadi Vineyards is a new destination winery under construction and scheduled to open Fall 2025 in Kelowna, BC. Azhadi Vineyards is a privately held company within the Azhadi Group, a group of companies which develops and operates wineries and vineyards throughout the Okanagan Valley, including the established Ex Nihilo Vineyards in Lake Country, BC.
Position Summary
Azhadi Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all F&B operations across Azhadi Vineyards and Ex Nihilo Vineyards. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service, driving revenue, and ensuring a consistent, premium guest experience across both properties. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of fine dining, winery hospitality, and multi-unit management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily F&B operations for restaurant, bistro, tasting room F&B offerings, special events, and private functions at both vineyards.
- Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chefs, Maitre D’s, Restaurant Managers, and Wine Experience teams to ensure smooth service flow and kitchen-to-floor alignment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency in service standards, quality, and guest satisfaction.
Team Development & Training
- Recruit, train, and lead front-of-house teams, supervisors, and service leads across all F&B outlets.
- Foster a positive, professional work culture focused on elevated hospitality and teamwork.
- Conduct regular training on service standards, wine knowledge, pairings, and upselling techniques.
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and manage scheduling to optimize productivity and labour costs.
Financial Performance & Reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue targets for all F&B outlets.
- Monitor costs, margins, and P&L performance to achieve financial goals.
- Work with the Director of Operations and culinary leadership to identify opportunities for menu and beverage program enhancements that drive sales and profitability.
Guest Experience & Service Standards
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service periods to engage with guests and support the team.
- Address guest feedback promptly and effectively, upholding Azhadi’s commitment to memorable, high-touch service.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements at both properties.
Collaboration & Event Support
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute weddings, wine-paired dinners, and special functions.
- Coordinate with the wine club and tasting room teams to deliver cohesive food and wine experiences.
- Support marketing and promotional initiatives for seasonal offerings, holiday menus, and feature events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in food and beverage management, with multi-unit or multi-concept experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of managing premium dining operations, wine-focused hospitality, and high-volume service environments.
- Excellent leadership, training, and team development skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour, and costs.
- WSET Level 2 or strong wine knowledge preferred.
- Serving It Right certification required.
