Sommelier or Wine Professional - Bar Manager (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Restaurants)

We are seeking a Sommelier or Wine Professional For a New Wine Bar in Mississauga, ON! You will be in charge of all things wine at The Vine, and responsible for providing customers with a memorable wine experience at a new, quaint, hidden gem wine and charcuterie bar in the heart of Streetsville. Lots of room to be creative!

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all wine activities for the restaurant
  • Ensure a high quality of wine services during service hours
  • Create and adjust wine menu and inventory
  • Oversee guest services; be the first point of contact before food is served
  • Recommend wine to pair with menu items
  • Offer a wine experience through flights and/or recommendations
  • Create promotions, such as Region of the Month, or Grape of the Month, etc.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

​Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in wine
  • Previous experience in food service or other related fields 
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
