Hospitality Host (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Terralux Estate Winery is a vision brought to life by three Masters of Wine. Unmatched in their expertise, their passion for crafting wines of sophistication and distinction is set to be paired with  an illuminating new winery experience on the Westside Wine Trail in West Kelowna.


The Hospitality Host will oversee the launch of the visitor center and day-to-day operations of this boutique lounge. There is potential for the successful candidate to continue to grow with the company as we transition into our complete state of the art facility next year. Their primary emphasis will be on delivering refined, detail-oriented hospitality to our guests.


This role offers the opportunity to play a foundational role in launching a new prestige winery. The successful candidate will represent the winery at on and off-site events, and also liaison with the sales teams within the province.  

Responsibilities

Guest Experience (75%)

  • Develop one of the leading hospitality programs in the Okanagan

  • Provide guided tours for VIP visitors

  • Manage day-to-day operations

  • FulfillFulfil daily reporting duties  

  • Maintain tight property inventory

  • Liaise with site safety coordinator to ensure site conditions and compliance 


Events and Promotion (25%)

  • Manage and execute on-site visits

  • Represent the winery at occasional off-site events

  • Lead media and trade tours and tastings

  • Liaise with key partners, including hotel concierges and wine tour operators

Qualifications

  • Serving it Right

  • Completion of WSET Level 2, or equivalent would be an advantage

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of wine experience

  • Commitment to refined, detail-oriented hospitality
