Overview
We are seeking an extraordinary enthusiastic Harvest Intern to join our team at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery. Reporting to the Winemaker, the Harvest Intern will work as part of the team to safely and efficiently complete all cellar harvest activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique history and terroir of Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery. This position will also have the opportunity to work with an award winning winemaker, committed to using organically grown ingredients in our wines.
Role and Responsibilities
- Participates in harvest activities.
- Operates equipment to crush, press and process grapes.
- Monitors press pans, cleans crusher & presses.
- Makes additions to juice and wine, as well as transfers juice and wine volumes using a variety of pumps and hoses.
- Cleans and sanitizes tanks, processing equipment, and the winery.
- May be required to operate equipment to perform pump overs and punch downs.
- Following written and/or oral procedures and policies, reporting any deviations.
- Reads, understands, and completes paperwork efficiently and accurately.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and healthy work environment; follows current health and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Authorization to work in Canada
- Valid G class license
- Enrollment or completion of a Winery and Viticulture or similar program considered an asset.
- Experience in crush work including barrel experience considered an asset.
- Forklift Operator Certificate and Confined Space Certification considered an asset.

- Independent: Able to follow directions effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to Detail: Achieve consistent and accurate results when completing tasks.
- Adaptability:Able to accept changing conditions and new information in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical: Operate winemaking equipment, work outdoors and indoors in hot and cold climates, regularly lift or move objects over 55LBS.
Schedule
- Available to work daytime, evening, weekends, weekdays and holidays as required.
- Overtime as required.
