Cellar Hand Reports to Winemaker
Key Accountabilities:
Active involvement in the execution of cellar operations to reinforce the following:
-Standard operating procedures
-Cellar operations check list
-cellar operations
-Accurate, legible and timely record keeping
Cellar operations will include:
-preforming vintage related tasks
-Transfers, rackings and additions.
-Tanker operations
-barrel operations
-Wine filtration/ clarification
-Bottling line preparations
-All bottling duties, labelling, stacking, monitoring, cleaning
-multi-task operations from cellar to bottling line
-Active participation in the Cellar training programs, which covers all the tasks detailed in the cellar SOP’s
Warehouse duties:
-Assist in warehouse duties if required
-Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
Winery Upkeep and Hygiene:
-Maintain winery upkeep and cleanliness
-maintain cellar hygiene to a high standard
-Undertake careful use of equipment
-Report damaged and faults as required.
Other:
-Assist with vineyard operations, picking, sampling pruning etc. (only if all winery responsibilities have been accomplished.
