Cannon Estate Winery is the newest winery in the heart of the Mt. Lehman area of the stunning Fraser valley.  We are on a mission to demonstrate the Fraser Valley can produce exceptional wines. We are seeking a driven, professional and passionate Outside Sales Representative for a full-time Lower Mainland position.

The ideal candidate must have a passion for sales, excellent interpersonal skills and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. While a knowledge of wines is essential, first and foremost they will understand sales and the art of the deal!  They must have the ability to close a sale while in tandem building strong relationships. They will demonstrate a competitive nature, strong people skills, and efficient time management.

 

Job Description:

·        Drive sales with on-site calls to trade channels - retail, grocery, on-premise and BCLDB retail accounts

·        Maximize volume sales and product placement for all brands

·        Seek and build new business opportunities in all trade channels

·        Analyze sales-related statistics to strategically build territory

·        Organize and participate in trade marketing events to support portfolio and build brand loyalty

·        Consistent communication with Owners and Business Manager

·        Based in the lower mainland but occasional travel may be required

 

Attributes:

·        Minimum 5 years sales experience in the alcohol/beverage industry is preferred

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Organized with proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively

·        Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop as a sales professional

·        Builds strong bonds with accounts and influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and negotiation skills

·        Strong analytical skills

·        Works well independently or in a team environment while remaining self-motivated and driven

·        Strong work ethic with availability to work occasional evenings and weekends

·        Ability to lift 40 lb cases regularly

·        Must possess valid BC Driver's License, reliable vehicle and Canadian passport

·        Computer skills - knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs

·        Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience and wine education (WSET).

 

Compensation will be based on experience and skillset. Competitive base with ability to earn with increased sales. Expenses will be compensated.
