If you have a passion for and curiosity about wine, we are looking for high-energy, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team. Cannon Estate Winery is dedicated to creating top calibre wines, and, in that, demonstrating the Fraser Valley can be an exceptional place to produce wine.

We are hiring an hourly, part-time Tasting Room Associate for our recently licensed winery manufacturing facility (Cellar) tasting area starting in November 2022! Our Tasting Room Associates don't need to have a background in wine, but must have a passion for wine, a positive attitude, and enjoy serving our customers. Further, Cannon Estate Winery will be completing a Lounge facility co-located near the Cellar in Spring 2023 offering growth opportunity for the Tasting Room Associate.

The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for the entire customer experience in the Tasting Area.

Key success factors for this position will include a strong customer-oriented approach, solid organizational skills, and a team-focused approach.

Major Responsibilities

  • Hosting wine tastings, sharing our story, wines and vineyard
  • Learn and present wine product tasting notes to Customers from both winery brands
  • Serve Customers
  • Receive and process orders from customers, data entry, invoicing, and credit card transactions on POS system; collect and provide change for cash transactions as required
  • Check inventory and coordinate with the Assistant Winery Manager for product availability
  • Pick and package wine orders purchased by customers
  • Exercises due diligence to maintain the accuracy of customer transactions


  • Serving It Right experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a regulated facility serving wine and pass Criminal Record Verification
  • Ability to carry a case of wine ~ 14.5 kg (31.2 lbs)
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Confident and motivated
  • A passion for wine and educating others on it
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of wine considered an asset but not required
