Coffin Ridge is a picturesque winery overlooking Georgian Bay. Tourists and locals alike enjoy visiting to taste our award winning wines and ciders, as well as our sterling service. A diverse events portfolio fills out the experience that many have come to love. 

We are looking for a Tasting Bar Supervisor to continue offering the service we are known for by fostering a positive work environment and overseeing all retail staff members.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a customer service and supervisory position, have excellent communication skills, be a positive team player and strong leader. They will be adaptive and flexible to fast changing environments have a strong sense of diplomacy and be a self starter. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Retail Store

• Maintain and attractive, clean, and welcoming environment
• probide courteous, efficient, and memorable service to patrons
• process sales and returns while maintaining a balanced till
• train staff in all the above duties and oversee staff to ensure quality service
• oversee kitchen operations and meet the Health Department Standards
• process and accurately fulfill online orders
• work shifts in the Tasting Bar a minimum of 3 times a week and as required seasonally

Communication

• respond to incoming inquiries over all platforms in a timely and courteous manner
• address and resolve complaints and inform General Manager of all details
• disseminate communication to staff and route staff inquiries to managers appropriately
• maintain strict confidentiality with all sensitive information belonging to patrons and Coffin Ridge
• coordinate group bookings as well as tours in the tasting bar, ensuring the appropriate and adequate staffing
• conduct meetings with retail staff on a minimum bi-weekly basis and produce minutes from meetings

Human Resources

• schedule retail staff ensuring the smooth operation of the business day while minimizing labour expenses
• prepare payroll timesheets and ensure that staff are entering hours accurately
• train incoming staff on their duties, safety, our standar of excellence, and company policies found in the handbook
