Magnotta Winery seeks an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our Beamsville location to carry out daily store operations.
Responsibilities:
• Motivating and coaching staff to meet and exceed store sales targets
• Managing staff supervision, training and development
• Balancing daily sales at the end of each business day
• Controlling overages and shortages of cash and performing banking procedures
• Performing opening and closing procedures
• Playing an active role in the visual presentation of the store, ensuring general housekeeping, and assisting in promoting a positive company image
• Ensuring exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a similar role, wine knowledge an asset
• College diploma in Business or Retail Management
• Proven excellent in supervision, people development and leadership
• Strong business acumen and human resource knowledge
• Ability to drive sales and obtain results
• Strong ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
• Well developed interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
