Job Description:
-Coordinate and execute logistics for all winery events.
-Work with the Hospitality Manager to create and develop new on-site winery events.
-Serve as primary contact for private event clients. Work with clients and suppliers to determine all details for the event, organize and relay to winery team.
-Sell and book out private event space.
-Work with the Hospitality Manager to determine cost estimates and budgets. Track spending and adhere to budget.
-Help supervise the Retail Store with a strong focus on creating an exceptional guest experience and maintaining hospitality standards.
-Book and coordinate all private group tastings and tour requests.
-Provide leadership, motivation and training to all retail store and event staff members.
-Manage inventory of all food and beverage products, service supplies and retail store merchandise.
-Represent winery at outside functions and meetings as needed.
-Hands on Retail Store duties required: tasting bar, tours, private tastings etc.
-Key holder- responsible for opening and closing the winery, performing closing duties and POS functions.
-Assist with fundraising, corporate gifting and administrative duties as required based on business levels.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of two years of experience in the Wine and Service Industry.
-Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events.
-Prior supervisory or management experience.
-Advanced wine knowledge- formal wine education (WSET or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
-Warm and outgoing personality with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
-Excellent customer service and sales skills.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to work well with a team and independently.
-Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
-Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work with continuously changing priorities.
-Ability to work weekends and some evenings.
-Must be Smart Serve certified.
-Ability to lift 40 lbs.
