The Organized Crime Winery is looking to hire a highly motivated harvest assistant for the upcoming 2018 vintage. Our 27 acre farm is located on the beautiful upper slope of the Beamsville Bench in Niagara. We have a varied portfolio offering the chance to work with Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The applicant will also gain experience with the traditional appassimento process. We expect to process 60T of premium grapes from our estate this vintage.
The harvest assistant will become an integral part of our small team, working directly with the winemaker in every aspect of the winemaking process. Duties will include, vineyard sampling, fruit receival, fruit sorting, ferment monitoring/management, racking, barrel work, lab analysis of juice and wine, and of course cleaning. There will also be the possibility of extra vineyard and bottling work.
Experience is preferred but not necessary, training will be provided to the right candidate. More importantly the applicant will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a passion for great wine and the ability to work within a very small team.
