Licensee Coordinator/Retail Associate (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

This position is a hybrid and the successful candidate would spit time between these two functions.

Licensee Role:

 -       Picking and building all shipping orders from one case to multiple pallets required for our restaurant partners and the liquor boards.

-       Using online courier programs.

-       Checking account balances and charging accounts in good standing prior to shipments leaving the winery.

-       Processing and packaging all on-line DTC shipping orders through Shopify.

-       Working closely with courier services and Canada Post to ensure orders are placed, picked up from the winery, and delivered in a timely manner.

-       Trouble-shooting and solving any logistic issues or difficulty in a cost-efficient manner.

-       Organizing on-site warehouse and maintaining order and cleanliness daily.

-       Weekly review of accounts with sales reps. Following-up with restaurant partners for submission of outstanding balances.

-       Maintaining up to date price lists.

-       Updating database, preparing accounting reports, and doing other clerical duties as required.

-       Maintaining good business relationships with sales reps, restaurant partners, and online customers.

 Licensee Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

 -       Strong attention to detail.

-       Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

-       Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with customers.

-       Proficient computer skills in Excel, Outlook and accounting programs.

-       Properly load pallets of wine.

-       Forklift certificate required or ability to obtain.

-       Ability to safely use a pallet jack.

-       Physically fit. Able to lift and carry 15 kg cases of wine up 2 flights of stairs 

 

 

Tasting Room Role:

-  Dedication to providing excellent customer service nd to building guest relationships.

-  Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.

-  Serving guests at the tasting bar and speaking with confidence about our wines.

-  Conducting food and wine pairings as well as hosting group tours and tastings.

-  Promoting our wine club and actively selling memberships.

-  Using a POS system to process sales.

-  Polishing and cleaning glassware and dishes.

-  Ensuring cleanliness of all public and BOH areas.  Daily cleaning tasks.

-  General maintenance:  changing light bulbs, watering flowers

-  Assisting patio servers when required.

-  Maintaining a safe work environment.

-  Expanding your wine education.

-  Other duties as assigned.

Tasting Room Requirements and Work Conditions

-  Operating hours are 7 days a week.  Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

-  Must be able to work on feet for several hours and lift 15 kg cases on a regular basis.

-  Must have or be able to get Smartserve.

-  Must be able to multi-task.

-  Must be 19 years of age or older.
