About Us

Hidden Bench Estate Winery is a small, family owned and operated premium winery situated in Beamsville, Ontario. Our critically acclaimed wines are 100% estate grown, certified organic and are produced with exacting attention to detail from vineyard to bottle.

We are expanding our team and looking for a motivated and focused individual with a passionate drive for hospitality and wine to take charge of our Wine Club and Subscription Programme.


Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a sales and hospitality focus with a can-do attitude. This role will see the candidate in the tasting/retail space engaging with our current and potential wine club members and subscribers on a day-to-day basis in conjunction with administrative work, and general retail sales. This busy and varied position entails most weekends and holidays.

This role will best suit an individual who thrives in a multi-tasking, high energy environment and loves to engage with guests. The incumbent will be working directly with the Retail Manager, Retail Team as well as the Winery Owner.

The role will see the following functions and responsibilities:

- Facilitate semi-annual wine club releases and subscription fulfillment

- Promote the benefits of wine club membership and subscriptions with customers

- Facilitate new wine club member and subscriber sign-up

- Planning and execution and of Wine Club events

- Planning and execution of email communications to members and subscribers

- Lead our curated tasting experience to deliver focused customer service and share our story along with the philosophy on our wines and vineyards

- Support of direct to consumer (DTC) sales, including fulfillment of orders, processing to shipping

- Assisting with monthly inventory counts

- Assisting with the cleanliness of the tasting room, retail shop, patio and all public areas


General Skills, Knowledge & Ability

- A passion for customer service and driving sales

- Solid understanding of the Niagara wine region would be an asset

- Wine Education an asset – WSET or CAPS, Beverage Alcohol or Wine Business Management

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- Comfortable with a POS system

- Impeccable personal presentation, interpersonal and communication skills

- Knowledge of French would be an asset

- Meticulous attention to detail

- Highly organized and skilled at time management, with an ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple concurrent tasks effectively

- Must be available to work weekends

- Smart Serve required

- Ability to lift 35lbs and able to stand for long hours

- Due to the location of the winery, own transportation is required



Annual compensation range: $45K – 50K
