Fielbird is a small but growing cidery in Price Edward County. We are building a new retail and production space at our orchard in Bloomfield and are eager to grow our team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales and Marketing Manager will build a team and budget to accomplish the following:

Establish the marketing program for FieldBird Cidery. Work with the cidermaker to develop marketing strategies. Manage all sales channels including tasting room and sales agencies/reps. Manage social media and website promotions. Be part of event planning and execution. Aid with tastings at the retail location and at special events.


Additional Duties:

  1. Be Creative. Develop and implement ideas that bring FieldBird to life both in-store and at events to drive demand for our ciders.  Research emerging trends and best practices and drive innovation through applying new marketing techniques.

  2. Be responsible for all aspects of the daily operations and supervision of the retail tasting space, including sales, service, inventory management, recruitment and staffing.

  3. Ensure product orders are processed and filled.

  4. Oversee staff training.

  5. Oversee scheduling of employees to ensure appropriate coverage and exceptional levels of customer service.  

  6. Develop the web and social media presence of FieldBird.

  7. Provide advice on product mix to achieve sales and margin targets.

  8. Deal with issues that arise from staff and/or customers.

  9. Comply with all liquor licencing requirements and health and safety requirements.

  10. Promote tourism and the Prince Edward County craft cider/wine industry.

 

Qualifications/Skills required:

Applicants should have great communication and organizational skills,  and a sincere commitment to customer service and follow-up. Industry experience is not mandatory but a definite asset. We are looking for a great salesperson who is a self-starter committed to our ciders and FieldBird.

Expected compensation is $28-30/hr at 35 hours per week; but can be negotiated as part of hiring process.
