Charton Hobbs, Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importer, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our B.C. Sales Team, focusing on spirit forward and casual on-premise accounts as well as private and government liquor stores in the Vancouver area. It is a full-time position reporting to the B.C. Sales Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team and take the next step in your career!

In this position you will work with exciting and prestigious brands such as, Hennessy, Glenmorangie, Belvedere, Volcan, Fireball, Buffalo Trace, Luxardo and Diplomatico. You will be responsible for selling the Charton Hobbs portfolio, focusing on spirits, into the best bar programs in Vancouver, as well as casual restaurants and pubs. This territory will include a small amount of spirit dominant liquor stores, both private and government. In addition to overseeing your assigned territory you will be working closely with our marketing and sales teams to assist in the execution of trainings and events throughout the Province. This role works closely with the B.C. Moët Hennessy Regional Marketing Manager to support market activity. There will be set KPI’s and targets consistent with the unique make-up of this territory. Responsibilities in the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Territory sales and management; predominantly on-premise and limited retail
  • Event planning and execution
  • Staff and consumer trainings and tastings
  • Assist Regional Marketing Managers with programming and activations
  • On-premise sales strategy and activity planning and execution
  • Territory analysis and development

The successful candidate must be self-disciplined, driven, and energetic. Knowledge of the alcohol industry is necessary, and sales experience is an asset. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in bartending and mixology. Other important skills and traits for this role include:

Candidate must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and passport.

Availability for evening and weekend work is required as well as ability to travel out of Country on occasion.
