Sales Representative (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

This is an exciting job opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic professional looking to take the next step in their career.  In this position, the successful candidate will work with established Concha y Toro brands and Fetzer and Bonterra brands.  More brands will follow that will augment the portfolio.  

Reporting to the Alberta Sales Manager, the sales representative, will have responsibility for the implementation of the territorial sales plan and corresponding sales strategies (maximize market share, ensure volume, distribution, coverage, promotion, and merchandising are effectively implemented) building strong relationships with key decision-makers to support Escalade sales and marketing strategies, maximize sales volume, net profit, and product distribution within this territory.     

Successful candidates must have a great deal of self-discipline, set high standards for themselves, be competitive, and be great team players.  Experience in beverage alcohol sales, packaged goods, or the hospitality industry as well as fundamental wine and spirits (WSET 2) knowledge is an asset.

Additional responsibilities include organizing and creating displays, tastings, and account support functions.  In addition, attendance at trade events (evenings and weekends may be required). 

Potential candidates must have a passion for wine and spirits, a valid passport, and a driver’s license for business-related travel. Candidates with College or University schooling are also preferred.  Other skills that are important to this position are:

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • A persuasive and energetic personality
  • Ability to analyze statistics and strong computer skills
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven personality
  • Able to set and execute high standards of performance.
  • Capable of advanced organization and planning skills and can respect tight schedules.

This position comes with a base salary commensurate with experience, an annual bonus, a car allowance, and group benefits. Business-related expenses are also covered.
