Alberta Sales Representative - Retail & On-premise (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Evolution Fine Wines is a well established, boutique wine and spirits agency based in Western Canada.  The successful candidate must have an outstanding track record as a career salesperson.  This role involves growing our business in Alberta, while developing and managing relationships with customers in both the Retail and On-Premise channels. 

If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales in the wine and spirits industry, we are interested in connecting with you.  Potential candidates will ideally have completed basic wine education/appreciation courses (WSET 2) and hold a valid passport and driver’s license for business related travel.  Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience.  This position’s territory will require the candidate to live in Calgary and travel throughout the province of Alberta.

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a sales rep in beverage alcohol, ideally in the local market that we are hiring for.
  • 80% of your time will be dedicated to growing your business within existing accounts.
  • Proactively investing 20% of your time to prospecting new accounts and developing new business.
  • Excellent relationship builder with a strong business acumen and proven skills in consultative selling, account management and forging lasting client relationships. 
  • Skilled at closing the sale.
  • Organized problem solver capable of thinking quickly on your feet and helping customers to define and meet their needs.
  • Engaging presenter and energetic people person who can easily adjust the message to match the audience.
  • Great time manager who can multitask and prioritize in order to deal effectively with multiple buying groups.
  • Proactively identify and engage in opportunities to grow business, add value, and keep our brands top of mind. 
  • Ability to analyze statistics for targeting sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related business experience preferred.

Base salary, car allowance and benefits commensurate with experience. Business related expenses are also covered.
