This position reports to the Main Store Manager for the successful delivery of the role.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Main Store Assistant Manager will be in an essential position in assisting in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure adequate overall function of the Main Store. The position will assist management in training and management of the staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Providing excellent customer service and assist customers with complaints to find a satisfactory resolution.
· Assisting in scheduling for all Main Floor, Wine Room, and Ecommerce.
· Daily communication with key staff in multiple departments on daily expectations or tasks.
· Overseeing Ecommerce daily operations and fulfillment.
· Assisting with onboarding of all new staff members
· Training, mentoring, delegating both new hires and existing staff members
· Enforcing staff policies and procedures and disciplining when necessary.
· Updating Store Manager on staff events and seeking guidance or advice if unsure
· Assisting with all in store events and delegating as necessary (approx. 148 in a calendar year)
· Able to open and close the store as needed. Including setting up the tills and cash outs.
· Ensure that we are compliant with all applicable AGLC regulations as needed
· Assisting with overall functions of inventory of the store including transfers, customer orders, counts and ensuring properly marked displays and communicating any issues with pricing to the appropriate channels.
· Assisting with making sure equipment is in working order and keeping up with supply orders if needed.
· Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Working knowledge and understanding of POS
· Proven leader and mentor
· MS Excel, MS Word, and HRIS experience.
· Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
· Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
· Must have the ability to work independently and as a team.
· Must be flexiable and be available to work evenings and weekends
· WSET Level 2 considered an asset
EXPERIENCE
·Liquor, beer or wine: 1 year (preferred)
·Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
